User Account & Data Protection

Although this topic has been mentioned briefly in the installation manual, below are more details.

             HIPAA / GDPR regulations
The RadarOpus software complies with the technical guidelines of recent privacy legislations:
                 • In the USA there is the HIPAA (Health Insurance and Accountability Act, 1996).
                 • In the EU on 25 May 2018 new legislation GDPR will become active (General Data Protection
Regulation). This may be called differently in each EU country (e.g. in NL: AVG)

From version 2.2 several additional security features have been introduced, creating the highest level of data
encryption and protection. RadarOpus is the only homeopathic software which fully complies with all
regulations and offers you the highest possible security.
Some of the security and privacy features are:
             - Fully encrypted RadarOpus database, including all patient information and additional files (lab reports,
             roentgen photos, etc.).
             - Password protected, and required password entry after a longer timeout period.
             - The RadarOpus backups are encrypted and password protected, now consists of one single file.
             - Individual saved (exported) analysis files are encrypted.
             - Trace of patient file history editing by the homeopath, and edit blocking of previous consolations (only
active if required in your country).
             - Export of a complete patient history (excluding personal notes of the homeopath) in a text format if a
patient requests this. Complete deletion of all patient history if the patient requests this.

             Creating an account
When you start RadarOpus you will be asked if you like to create an account
                 • There is the Local Account to protect the patient data in RadarOpus
                 • You can also receive a Clificol password (the first feature of the RadarOpus-Cloud)

Step 1: Do you want to create an account?
For 30 days you will be reminded to create a local account.

Note: If you do not create an account, there is no problem. You
will be able to continue to work without an account.
But if you are a profession practitioner we advise you to do so
otherwise you do not comply with the above-mentioned
regulations regarding the protection of software which contain patient information with a password and data
             encryption.

You may skip the creation of an account with: No, remind me
             later.

Note: Even after 30 days, it will still be possible to create an
account at any moment you want to do so. This can be done via
             the menu Tools, User account.
